            In questa località è presente un bellissimo tratto della Via Vandelli che sale ripida per questo versante. E' da notare come il fondo stradale originale, in questo tratto, si sia mantenuto in buono stato di conservazione. Da segnalare sono i Cerri maestosi (Quercus cerris) di oltre 400 anni di età di più di 5 m di diametro e circa 35 m di altezza oltre che a Betulle bianche, (Betulis Alba), Pini Silvestri (Pinus Sylvestris), Ontani, Quercioli, Carpini, Castagni ed altre essenze, che costituiscono il bosco della Carbonara.

This area boasts a particularly beautiful stretch of the Via Vandelli. The road, which climbs steeply up the mountain slope, also has its original bed, wonderfully-preserved and in excellent condition. The vegetation is resplendent: Majestic Turkey oaks (Quercus cerris), more than four hundred years old and over 5m in diameter and 35m in height, silver birches (Betulis Alba), Scots pines (Pinus Sylvestris), alders, oak saplings, hornbeams and chestnut trees all grow alongside each other in the Carbonara Woods.
