La torre dei Montecuccoli è tutto ciò che rimane del Castello di Montecenere, infeudato nel 1394 dal Marchese Alberto d'Este ai Montecuccoli, sotto ai quali rimase fino al 1797.

Si tratta di una torre a pianta rettangolare di otto metri per sette, con muratura a filaretto.

Sotto il portale principale, sul lato ovest, si apre una feritoia ; in alto una monofora arcuata  a doppia strombatura, piuttosto rara in una torre. .Il portale originario era notevolmente sopraelevato, secondo un accorgimento tattico difensivo già in uso presso i Bizantini e adottato in tutte le torri medievali rilevate nella zona.

                                                    Montecuccoli tower

The tower is the only part of Montecenere Castle that remains today. In 1394 it was given to the Montecuccoli fiefdom by the marquis Alberto d'Este, and so it remained until 1797. It is a rectangular tower, 8m long and 7m wide, with border walling. On the western wall, under the main portal, there is a loophole and in the highest part of the tower there is a double-slay window with one light, a very rare feature in a tower. The original portal was considerably raised: a clever defensive technique that was used by the Byzantines and then adopted in all the important mediaeval towers in this zone.
