 Situato in una conca circondata dal verde dei boschi, è uno dei centri più importanti dell'Appennino, per lo sviluppo economico e per il turismo, grazie alla sua favorevole posizione geografica ; si trova, infatti, all'incrocio di importanti vie di collegamento fra Emilia e Toscana, fra pianura e montagna.

Pievepelago is situated at the crossroads of the main routes between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, in a basin lying between mountains and lowlands, surrounded by the dense greenery of the local woods. Quite naturally then, this wonderful setting and the geographic position make it one of the Apennines' most important towns for both economic and touristic development.
