 Frazione di Riolunato. L'antica sede della Comunità di Riolunato era presso il fortizio di castello, eretto su uno sprone che domina la vallata dell'attuale capoluogo. L'elemento più importante della struttura castellana è il mastio, già ridotto a campanile nel sec. XV, ma è ancora perfettamente leggibile l'impianto chiuso a fortezza che attorniava il poggio e che solo dalla parte di levante, in direzione del borgo, era accessibile mediante tre porte protette da un ponte levatoio. Il Castello un tempo "dei Pelosi", fu tra i prediletti da Obizzo da Montegarullo.

Outlying ward of Riolunato. The old home to the Riolunato Community was located near the castle fortress, on a spur that dominates the valley of what is today the main town. The most important element of the castle structure is the tower, which was transformed into a bell-tower in the 15^th century. However, the closed fortress system, built around the knoll and only accessible via three doors protected by a draw-bridge, is still clearly visible. The castle, which originally belonged to the Pelosi family, later became one of the favourites of Obizzo from Montegarullo.
